The Association was founded in 1992 as an inter-regional organization that comprises the Central Body (The Board and Management) and regional branches. 

After the number of the regional branches has reached the amount of 50 in 1997, the Association has been transformed and become the All-Russian Association of Medical Laboratory Diagnostics (RAMLD) and registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. 

The main aim of the Association is the promotion of laboratory services development by means of uniting their members for solving organizational and scientific and practical problems that the laboratory services encounter in our country, as well as providing of legal and social protection for the specialists engaged in this field.

The Association has its own logo, publishes the professionally orientated magazine “Laboratory Medicine” and books covering different branches of the present-day laboratory diagnostics.

The Association is one of the major organizers of the National Congresses in Russia, the so-called “National Days of Laboratory Medicine in Russia”, international and national exhibitions “Interlabdiagnostics”. RAMLD holds conferences, seminars in Moscow and other regions of Russia (S.-Petersburg, Saratov, etc.).

We consider it an honor to have many leading world and Russian companies – manufacturers and distributors of the laboratory products as the collective members of the RALMD.

Since 1992 till now Prof. Dmitry SAPRYGIN is the President of the Association.
